SGC Group has had an incredible year with the addition of some key players for our IED training devices manufacturing and training. Our clients include NAVSCOLEOD, AIEDD, NSWG2, Navy EOD MU2 and DHS just to name a few.
What do we have coming up for 2009 that you can benefit from? That’s intirely up to you. SGC Group is always looking for SME’s to come to us so that we can offer their products, services or training under our SDVOSB banner.
There are several companies out there willing to do that but here’s where we’re different. As president of the company, my goal is to have at least 80 qualified people around the country acting as independent agents offering everything we sell. We believe in “Work where you want to work, live where you want to live, for the duration you want to work.”
You work from your virtual office, whether it’s in Nashville, Jacksonville, Albuquerque, Boston or Islamabad. It’s your choice, not mine. You have a natural market and network that you’ve developed over the years. Now you can monetize it by making commissions on everything you sell.
Maybe that’s good enough for you. Make some money on a “by the way” basis.
For those of you that have a curriculum or product to sell, how would you like a built in sales force of at least 80 people and a web site that can place you in the top of the search engines? Google “IED training aids” and you’ll notice we’re number 1. We’ll take care of the web site to get you placed the highest possible. Our 80 people and the search engines driving requests to people in the regions to where the request originated from gives us that personal relationship that helps sell you.
What happens when you’re being over-sold? That’s a great problem and I’ll explain it this way. Shortly after moving to Nashville in the 80′s, I met a country song writer and we spoke about his business and how difficult it must be to keep writing songs to make money. He said that the singers have to sing the song thousands of times, travel from city to city, etc. As the writer, I only have to write it once. “It only takes one!”
If you write curriculum or produce a product we’ll sell it, pay the commissions to the people that sold it, take care of travel and per diem, pay the person to teach it and pay you a royalty on your work. It only takes one.
Finally and this isn’t for everyone. I’m looking for a handful of serious people that are interested in a little more. I’m looking for people that want to fit in to what we’re doing but then become part owner of the firm. SGC Group wil eventually be bought out but I can’t grow it to where it needs to be by myself. Inbetween the Navy and SGC Group, I was a financial consultant for a Fortune 75 company and was able to meet the kind of people we need in Mergers and Acquisitions.
I am not looking for a financial buy in but a commitment to grow this company to a place where we can exit in style.
I look forward to speaking or emailing you in the future. Be sure to visit our web site and look around. If you feel like you can be a positive, motivating impact player, I would like to hear from you.
